We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and make changes to our website or products at any time without prior notice.
3. Products and availability
We specialise in French wines and related products.
All products displayed on our website are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities or to withdraw products from sale at any time.
Wine vintages, labels and packaging may occasionally change depending on availability. Where a specific vintage or product is unavailable, we will contact you where appropriate to discuss a suitable alternative or arrange a refund.
Images shown on the website are for illustrative purposes and may not always exactly represent the product supplied.
4. Legal age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase alcohol from The French Paradox.
By placing an order for alcoholic products, you confirm that you are legally entitled to purchase alcohol.
We reserve the right to request proof of age and to refuse or cancel an order if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the purchaser or recipient is under the legal drinking age.
Where required, delivery may be refused if the recipient cannot provide satisfactory proof of age.
5. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected by you.
After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order. This does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
Your order will be accepted once we have confirmed that the products are available and that payment has been successfully processed.
If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and, where payment has already been taken, arrange an appropriate refund.
6. Prices and payment
All prices displayed on our website are in euro (€) and include applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
Payment must be made through the payment methods available at checkout.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
We do not knowingly retain or store complete payment card details on our own systems. Payment information is processed through the relevant payment service provider.
7. Delivery
We currently deliver orders within Ireland.
Delivery charges and estimated delivery times are displayed on our website or during the checkout process.
We offer free delivery within Dublin 4. Orders over €150 qualify for free delivery. A flat delivery charge of €15 applies to other eligible orders, unless otherwise stated.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including adverse weather, transport disruptions, strikes or other unforeseen events.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information. We cannot be held responsible for delivery problems resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided at checkout.
8. Click & Collect
Customers may choose to collect eligible orders from The French Paradox during our advertised opening hours.
Click & Collect is free of charge.
We will notify you when your order is ready for collection. Please do not visit to collect your order until you have received confirmation that it is ready.
Proof of order or identification may be requested when collecting an order.
9. Returns, cancellations and refunds
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
If your order has not yet been processed or dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to cancel it and issue a refund where applicable.
For products that are eligible for cancellation under applicable consumer protection legislation, you may have the right to cancel your purchase within the applicable statutory period.
However, certain products may be exempt from cancellation rights where permitted by law, including goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
If a product arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery and provide details of the issue. We will assess the situation and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund or other suitable remedy in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your legal rights as a consumer under applicable Irish and European consumer protection law.
10. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers purchased through our website may be used to purchase eligible products and services offered by The French Paradox, subject to the terms stated on the voucher.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are not refundable except where required by law.
Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the use or validity of a gift voucher.
11. Events and tastings
Where applicable, bookings for wine tastings or other events may be subject to separate booking terms, including specific cancellation policies.
Any terms applicable to a particular event will be communicated at the time of booking.
