At The French Paradox, we have always believed that the true pleasure of wine lies in discovery—those unexpected moments when a bottle reveals something new, something memorable, something worth sharing. It is this philosophy that inspires our Staff Pick of the Month, a curated selection designed to bring that sense of discovery to your glass.
Each month, Jacques and Julien personally select four wines—two whites and two reds—that reflect not only their experience and intuition, but also the subtle rhythm of the season. These choices are never static; they evolve with the time of year, the atmosphere, and the way we find ourselves wanting to drink. A vibrant, mineral-driven white may accompany the brightness of longer days, while a more textured, enveloping red might emerge as evenings grow cooler.
Beyond seasonality, these selections are guided by emotion as much as expertise. They are wines that have captured our attention, sparked conversation, and lingered in our memory—whether through their elegance, their character, or their quiet sense of surprise. Some may come from familiar regions, others from lesser-known appellations, but all share a common thread: they offer something genuinely worth experiencing.
Each monthly selection is presented as an invitation—to explore, to taste, and to engage more deeply with the world of wine. Whether you are discovering something entirely new or revisiting a style through a different lens, these are wines chosen with intention, curiosity, and a desire to share what excites us most in the moment.

Wine Tastings on Saturdays
We are delighted to introduce a new weekly wine tasting series, taking place every Saturday at 3pm.
Designed as a relaxed and engaging experience, these tastings will explore a different theme each week — from classic French regions to hidden gems, grape varieties, and special vintages. Whether you’re just beginning your wine journey or already have a well-trained palate, each session is an opportunity to discover, learn, and enjoy wine in a friendly, informal setting.
Alongside our daily offering — the monthly staff pick wine flight (four wines, including two whites and two reds) — Saturdays will take things a step further. For these tastings, Julien and Jacques will select more premium wines, opening bottles that are rarely available by the glass. Expect a chance to taste grand cru wines, exceptional vintages, and carefully chosen bottles that showcase the depth and diversity of great winemaking.
These sessions are designed to be both accessible and special: a space to explore outstanding wines without the formality often associated with them, and to share in the stories behind each bottle.
