A natural, elegant rosé where tradition meets a new generation of winemaking

When we think of Provence, we often imagine one style of wine: pale pink, fresh, delicate, and made for sunny afternoons.

But Provence has many stories to tell.

The “Dames Nature” 2025 from Château Pas du Cerf is one of those wines that shows another side of the region: a rosé with the elegance expected from Provence, but with a more natural, expressive personality. A wine made to let the fruit speak, crafted without added sulphites, and built around two important Provençal grape varieties.

It is a wine we are particularly happy to have at The French Paradox, because it represents exactly what we love to discover: authentic wines with a strong identity.

Château Pas du Cerf – a family estate in the heart of Provence

Located in the heart of Provence, Château Pas du Cerf is a historic estate surrounded by Mediterranean landscapes.

Here, vines grow between sea influence, sunshine, and the typical landscapes of the south of France: hills, forests, and aromatic plants.

The estate has built its identity around respecting its environment and expressing the personality of its vineyards. With “Dames Nature”, the idea goes even further: creating a wine where intervention is kept to a minimum, allowing the grapes and the terroir to take the leading role.

Tibouren – one of Provence’s hidden treasures

The blend of “Dames Nature” is beautifully simple:

  • 50% Grenache
  • 50% Tibouren

Everyone knows Grenache in Provence. It is one of the great Mediterranean grapes, bringing fruit, generosity, and roundness.

But Tibouren is a much rarer and fascinating variety.

An old Provençal grape, Tibouren is known for its elegance, finesse, and aromatic subtlety. It does not aim for power — it brings delicacy, freshness, and a distinctive personality.

It is one of those grapes that reminds us that behind famous wine regions, there are always forgotten varieties waiting to be rediscovered.

A rosé without added sulphites

The choice to make “Dames Nature” without added sulphites is part of a broader approach: preserving the natural expression of the wine.

Sulphur has traditionally been used in winemaking to protect wines and ensure stability, but some producers choose to work without added sulphites when conditions allow it, focusing on careful vineyard work, healthy grapes, and precise cellar management.

The result is a wine where the fruit feels particularly direct and expressive.

In the glass – pure, charming, and full of personality

The first impression is one of delicacy: a pale and luminous rosé colour with soft reflections.

The nose is immediately inviting, showing notes of red berries, soft sweetness, and delicate vanilla-like aromas. There is a playful side to the wine, almost reminiscent of candy and marshmallow, but always balanced by a fresh and airy character.

On the palate, the texture is smooth and elegant. The wine feels generous without being heavy, with a lovely freshness carrying through to the finish.

The combination of Grenache and Tibouren creates a beautiful harmony: fruit, softness, and Provençal elegance.

Provence with a different voice

“Dames Nature” is a reminder that rosé can be much more than a seasonal drink.

Behind its approachable style is real character: a rare grape variety, a thoughtful philosophy, and a desire to show Provence in a more natural way.

It is a wine that feels both familiar and surprising — unmistakably Provençal, but with its own personality.

A rosé made for sharing

Served chilled around 8°C, this is a wine made for moments of pleasure.

It naturally matches Mediterranean cuisine: grilled fish with olive oil, lamb with herbs, summer vegetables, or a beautiful goat cheese.

But perhaps its greatest quality is simply how easy it is to enjoy.

Fresh, expressive, elegant, and full of charm — Château Pas du Cerf’s “Dames Nature” 2025 is Provence with a little more soul.
