A rare expression of Champagne where terroir, family heritage, and precision meet
When people think of Champagne, they often think of the blend: different grapes, different villages, and different years coming together to create harmony.
But some Champagnes choose another path.
The “Érynn” Blanc de Blancs from Maison Arnaud Moreau is a story of singularity: one terroir, one vision, and one signature. A cuvée that invites us to discover a different side of Champagne — not through blending across many origins, but through the expression of a precise place.
Bouzy – one of Champagne’s most prestigious villages
Located on the southern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the village of Bouzy is one of the most celebrated terroirs in Champagne.
Only seventeen villages in Champagne hold the prestigious Grand Cru classification, the highest level of the traditional échelle des crus system. Bouzy is one of them.
The village is famous above all for Pinot Noir, which thrives on the south-facing slopes. The combination of chalk soils, sunshine, and ideal exposure creates Champagnes known for their body, structure, and depth, often with notes of red fruits and a powerful yet elegant personality.
A family story across three generations
Behind Maison Arnaud Moreau is a story of continuity.
Arnaud Moreau represents the third generation of his family working with Champagne. After an earlier career in IT, he returned to the family estate, following in the footsteps of his father René and his grandfather François.
Today, the domaine covers around four hectares of vines in Bouzy and Ambonnay, two exceptional Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims.
The vineyards are worked with respect and precision, following sustainable practices and with every harvest carried out by hand.
From this small estate come a limited number of cuvées, each one reflecting a specific approach and a strong sense of place.
Érynn – a different interpretation of Champagne
What makes Érynn particularly intriguing is its identity as a Blanc de Blancs.
The term “Blanc de Blancs” means that the wine is made exclusively from white grapes — traditionally Chardonnay in Champagne.
This creates a contrast with the typical identity of Bouzy, a village more naturally associated with Pinot Noir.
Where Pinot Noir brings structure, richness, and red fruit character, Chardonnay brings freshness, elegance, floral notes, and a more delicate aromatic profile.
Érynn is therefore an interesting dialogue between a famous Pinot Noir terroir and the refined expression of Chardonnay.
Terroir first – one vineyard, one signature
The philosophy behind Érynn is simple:
One terroir. One signature.
Rather than searching for complexity through many origins, this cuvée focuses on the personality of a specific place and the choices of the winemaker.
This approach is very much part of the grower Champagne movement: allowing the vineyard itself to become the main voice of the wine.
In the glass – elegance and precision
Érynn shows the refined character expected from a great Blanc de Blancs.
The nose reveals freshness and finesse, with delicate citrus aromas, white flowers, and subtle mineral notes typical of chalky Champagne soils.
On the palate, the wine combines elegance and energy. The texture is refined, with a beautiful balance between freshness and depth, leading to a long and graceful finish.
It is a Champagne that feels pure and precise, but never austere.
Grower Champagne – a closer connection to the land
Maison Arnaud Moreau belongs to a fascinating world within Champagne: the world of grower-producers.
Unlike large Champagne houses that often buy grapes from many different growers and villages, grower Champagne is built around a closer relationship between the producer and the vineyard.
The person making the wine is also the person farming the land.
This creates wines with a stronger sense of identity — wines that tell the story of a place and a family.
A Champagne of place and patience
Érynn is not simply a Blanc de Blancs. It is a reflection of a Grand Cru village, a family heritage, and a philosophy of careful winemaking.
A rare Champagne where the most important ingredient is not just the grape, but the connection between the vineyard and the person behind the bottle.
Maison Arnaud Moreau Érynn is Champagne with a clear voice: elegant, refined, and deeply connected to Bouzy.
