Description
“Erynn” is one of the signature cuvées of Maison Arnaud Moreau, a family-owned Champagne house based in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. For generations, the Moreau family has cultivated its vineyards with the ambition of producing Champagnes that faithfully express the character of their exceptional terroirs through precision, patience and traditional craftsmanship.
While Bouzy is internationally celebrated for its outstanding Pinot Noir, Chardonnay planted on this remarkable Grand Cru terroir offers a different and equally compelling expression. “Erynn” is a Blanc de Blancs, made exclusively from Chardonnay, revealing a style that combines the natural elegance of the grape with the depth and mineral character imparted by Bouzy’s chalk-rich soils.
In the glass, the wine displays a brilliant pale golden colour with an exceptionally fine, persistent mousse. The nose is elegant and precise, opening with aromas of citrus zest, lemon blossom and white flowers, followed by notes of crisp orchard fruit, fresh almond and delicate brioche acquired during ageing on the lees.
The palate is vibrant and beautifully balanced. Bright citrus and green apple flavours are supported by a creamy texture and a fine chalky minerality that gives the wine remarkable length and precision. The bubbles are delicate and perfectly integrated, leading to a clean, refreshing and lingering finish.
“Erynn” is a Champagne made for gastronomy as much as celebration. It pairs beautifully with oysters, scallops, lobster, fine white fish, sushi or delicate poultry dishes. Equally impressive as an aperitif, it offers a pure and elegant expression of Grand Cru Chardonnay, demonstrating that Bouzy is capable of producing exceptional Blanc de Blancs as well as its world-famous Pinot Noir Champagnes.
