Domaine Jean Perrier et Fils Crémant de Savoie Rosé is a delicate and characterful sparkling wine from one of Savoie’s long-established family winery. Based in the heart of the Alpine wine region, the Perrier family has been producing wines in Savoie for generations, with a strong focus on the region’s traditional grape varieties and the fresh, expressive character of its mountain vineyards.
Made from Gamay, this rosé brings a naturally fruity dimension to the Crémant de Savoie style. The grapes are carefully harvested before gentle pressing and the wine is produced using the traditional method, with its second fermentation taking place in bottle. It is then aged on its lees, allowing the bubbles to become finer while adding texture and aromatic complexity without losing the wine’s freshness.
In the glass, the wine has a delicate pale pink colour with a fine and persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is expressive and inviting, revealing aromas of fresh red berries and red fruit, alongside peach and bright citrus notes. Subtle floral nuances add to its freshness and give the wine an elegant Alpine character.
On the palate, the Crémant is light, fresh and beautifully balanced. The Gamay brings gentle red-fruit flavours, with strawberry and other red berries complemented by peach and citrus. Fine bubbles give the wine a lively, delicate texture, while its bright acidity keeps the finish clean and refreshing. Despite its delicate appearance, it has plenty of character and a pleasantly persistent finish.
This is a wonderfully versatile rosé Crémant, ideal as an aperitif but equally enjoyable alongside light dishes. It works beautifully with charcuterie, smoked salmon, grilled prawns, fresh salads, soft cheeses or simply a selection of savoury snacks. Served well chilled, it is an easy and elegant sparkling wine to enjoy from the first glass to the last.
