A dry Riesling from Domaine de la Tour Blanche, a family-run estate based in Riquewihr in Alsace, where the Klack family have been working the vines for generations.
This is a classic, dry expression of the grape. Expect lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers on the nose, with a palate that stays linear and precise rather than aromatic or sweet. The structure is driven by acidity, with a clean mineral line running through to the finish.
The Klack family’s approach is rooted in tradition, with careful, low-intervention winemaking letting the vineyard’s character show through without excess weight or ornamentation. Ageing in old oak foudres adds a subtle texture, but the style remains firmly fresh and focused.
This is the drier, more gastronomic side of Alsace Riesling.
