Description
Jean-Paul Dubost’s Beaujolais-Lantignié Blanc is a rare and particularly interesting expression of Chardonnay from a region better known for Gamay. The vines are planted on the slopes around Lantignié, where Dubost farms a small 3-hectare Chardonnay parcel. The wine is made with the same care for site and fruit that runs through the winery, with manual harvesting and a gentle approach to vinification and élevage.
In the glass, it shows the generous side of Chardonnay without becoming heavy. Aromas of white flowers, peach and apricot lead into a fresh, rounded palate marked by ripe citrus and a subtle mineral character. There is enough texture to make it satisfying at the table, while the freshness keeps the wine lively and easy to drink. A lovely bottle for seafood, grilled fish, roast chicken, goat’s cheese or simply as an aperitif. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C.
