Description
“Diane Rouge” 2024 is a bright and charming red wine from Château Pas du Cerf, produced in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation. The estate, located near the Mediterranean coast, is known for crafting wines that combine freshness, elegance and the sun-filled character of Provence.
This cuvée blends 80% Syrah with 20% Carignan, bringing together aromatic richness, spice and vibrant fruit expression. The grapes are harvested at optimal phenolic maturity, ensuring full flavour development while preserving freshness and balance. Vinification follows a traditional approach designed to highlight the purity of the fruit and the wine’s naturally generous Mediterranean style.
In the glass, “Diane Rouge” reveals a bright and intense colour with deep purple hues and vivid pink reflections. The nose is delicate and expressive, opening on aromas of crushed raspberry, cherry and ripe red berries, complemented by subtle notes of nutmeg and white pepper.
On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy and immediately inviting, evoking the sensation of biting into ripe grapes, cherries and raspberries. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, giving structure without heaviness, while the overall style remains lively, supple and highly approachable.
Served slightly chilled between 14 and 16°C, “Diane Rouge” pairs beautifully with Provençal dishes such as tapenade, petits farcis, duck with olives, roast pork with sage or lemon-marinated chicken. Best enjoyed within 3 years, it captures a youthful and convivial expression of Provence red wine.
