Description
Le Tracot is Jean-Paul Dubost’s classic Beaujolais Lantignié, coming from 8 hectares of vines around the domaine’s home in Lantignié. Made from Gamay, it sits in that lovely space between an easy-drinking Beaujolais and the more structured Cru wines of the region. The combination of granite and blue clay soils, together with Dubost’s traditional approach in the cellar, gives the wine both juicy fruit and real depth.
The 2025 is particularly expressive, with a rich nose of ripe cherries and dark fruits alongside delicate floral notes. The palate is fleshy and generous, packed with juicy fruit, while fresh acidity keeps everything lively. Fine, well-integrated tannins give the wine shape without taking away from its generous, easy-going character.
This is a bottle that works beautifully at the table: roast chicken, pork, charcuterie, sausages, grilled meats or mushrooms all make natural partners. It is also excellent slightly chilled, around 14–16°C, when the fresh, juicy side of the Gamay really comes alive.
