Produced in Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most iconic wine villages, this Riesling 2024 comes from Domaine de la Tour Blanche, the family estate of Daniel and Estelle Klack, whose winemaking tradition dates back to 1628. Today, they continue to craft wines that express purity, balance and a strong sense of terroir, working with traditional methods and long-established cellar practices.
Riesling is the emblematic grape of Alsace, known for its precision, freshness and ability to translate soil expression with clarity. At Domaine de la Tour Blanche, it is vinified to highlight tension and aromatics, resulting in a dry and structured style that reflects the cool climate and mineral-rich terroirs of the region.
The 2024 vintage shows a pale, luminous colour with crystalline reflections. The nose is clean and expressive, opening on aromas of lemon zest, lime, green apple and white flowers, with a subtle mineral edge that becomes more pronounced with aeration.
On the palate, the wine is linear, fresh and energetic, with bright citrus flavours and a fine, saline-driven backbone. The texture is precise rather than heavy, giving the wine its characteristic clarity and drive. The finish is long, clean and mouth-watering, marked by elegance and purity.
This Riesling is an excellent food wine, ideal with seafood, oysters, grilled fish, asparagus dishes or light Asian cuisine. It can be enjoyed young for its freshness, but also has the structure to evolve over several years, gaining complexity and depth over time.
