Description
Arnaud Moreau “Tradition” is the signature non-vintage cuvée from this family-run estate based in Bouzy, one of Champagne’s prestigious Grand Cru villages. The domaine works exclusively with Grand Cru vineyards on the Montagne de Reims, where Pinot Noir dominates and gives the wines their distinctive structure and fruit intensity. The blend is typically around 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, combining power with finesse.
On the nose, the wine is immediately expressive and inviting, with aromas of ripe peach, apricot, and citrus zest. These fruit-driven notes are complemented by subtle hints of brioche, buttered toast, and light floral tones that develop with air. There is a clear sense of generosity and ripeness, reflecting the Pinot Noir richness of Bouzy.
On the palate, the Champagne is rounded and supple, with a creamy mousse and a generous mid-palate. Flavours of stone fruit, candied citrus, and orange peel are supported by gentle pastry and biscuit notes from lees ageing. The Chardonnay brings freshness and lift, balancing the richness of the Pinot Noir and giving the wine a clean, persistent finish with a light mineral edge.
This is a style of Champagne that leans toward pleasure and immediacy rather than austerity: expressive, approachable, and food-friendly. It works beautifully as an aperitif but also pairs well with smoked salmon, seafood, soft cheeses, or light poultry dishes. A classic grower Champagne that highlights the depth and fruit expression of Bouzy Grand Cru terroir.
