Description
A textbook Médoc from a strong 2016 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon-led, with that familiar Left Bank frame: dark fruit, firm tannins, and a slightly savoury edge.
On the nose and palate you get blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, followed by cedar, tobacco, and a hint of minerality. It leans into what Médoc does well: balance, structure, and a bit of restraint. The tannins are present but fine, more about grip than aggression. It opens up with air, but it’s clearly a wine that prefers the table to the spotlight.
A reliable, balanced, and better with food than on its own.
