Description

Produced in the picturesque village of Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most celebrated wine-growing towns, this Gewürztraminer 2024 comes from Domaine de la Tour Blanche, a family estate whose history stretches back to 1628. Today, Daniel and Estelle Klack continue thirteen generations of winemaking tradition, cultivating their vineyards with deep respect for their terroirs and ageing their wines in remarkable century-old oak casks that contribute to the estate’s distinctive style.

Gewürztraminer is one of Alsace’s most recognisable grape varieties, renowned for its intensely aromatic character and ability to produce wines of both richness and finesse. The 2024 vintage perfectly captures this identity, offering an expressive bouquet of lychee, rose petals and exotic fruits, complemented by delicate hints of sweet spices. Despite its generosity, the wine remains balanced and refined, avoiding any sense of heaviness.

On the palate, the wine is smooth, generous and beautifully textured. Flavours of tropical fruits, rose and gentle spice unfold with elegance, supported by a freshness that keeps the wine lively and harmonious. The finish is long, fragrant and inviting, showcasing the classic charm of Alsatian Gewürztraminer.

This wine is a wonderful partner for aromatic and spicy cuisine, particularly Asian dishes, duck preparations, blue cheeses or fruit-based desserts. Served lightly chilled, it can be enjoyed in its youth for its exuberant aromatics, but also has the structure to develop additional complexity over several years in bottle.
