Description

Domaine d’Archimbaud “Les IV Pierres” Blanc 2025 is a vibrant white wine from the IGP Mont Baudile, a lesser-known but increasingly exciting terroir in the Languedoc, at the foothills of the Larzac. Produced by a family estate with over a century of history, the wine reflects both tradition and a modern, organic approach to viticulture, with all vineyards certified organic.

This cuvée is a blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Muscat Petit Grain, combining aromatic intensity with freshness and balance. In the glass, it shows a pale golden colour with bright reflections, signalling both ripeness and energy.

The nose is expressive and inviting, opening with aromas of white flowers, pear, and white peach, alongside subtle citrus notes. The Muscat brings a delicate floral lift, while Viognier adds roundness and stone fruit richness, creating a harmonious and layered aromatic profile.

On the palate, the wine is dry, fresh, and well-balanced. A lively acidity carries the fruit, giving the wine precision and drinkability, while a slight roundness from the Viognier adds texture. Flavours of orchard fruit and citrus unfold smoothly, leading to a clean, refreshing finish often marked by a subtle menthol or mineral edge that enhances its sense of freshness.

Vinified in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity, the wine focuses on clarity and immediacy rather than oak influence. The result is a white that feels both expressive and precise, combining southern generosity with a clean, modern style.

“Les IV Pierres” Blanc 2025 is highly versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, fresh salads, and light poultry dishes, and also works well as an aperitif.

Overall, this is a characterful Languedoc white: aromatic, fresh, and balanced, offering both easy enjoyment and a clear sense of its sunny yet limestone-influenced terroir.
