Description
This Chardonnay 2025 from Domaine de l’Épinay is produced in the heart of the Val de Loire, an area known for its diversity of soils and its ability to produce wines of freshness and precision. The estate is run by the Paquereau family, who have built a reputation for crafting honest, fruit-driven wines that reflect their terroir with clarity and balance.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, this IGP Val de Loire cuvée showcases a more accessible and fruit-forward expression of the grape, while still maintaining the freshness and finesse typical of Loire whites. The vineyards benefit from a temperate climate that allows for slow, even ripening, preserving aromatic purity and natural acidity.
In the glass, the wine displays a pale, bright colour with green highlights. The nose is clean and inviting, opening on aromas of lemon zest, green apple, pear and white flowers, with a subtle touch of citrus peel and freshness.
On the palate, it is light, crisp and well-balanced, with juicy orchard fruit flavours and a refreshing acidity that brings energy and lift. The texture is smooth and uncomplicated, making the wine immediately enjoyable and highly versatile.
This Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood, salads, grilled fish, light poultry dishes or simple everyday cuisine. Best served chilled, it is a pure and easy-drinking expression of Loire Valley Chardonnay, designed for immediate pleasure.
