Description

Domaine de l’Epinay’s “Clos de la Lozangère” is a classic expression of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie, crafted from 100% Melon de Bourgogne in the Loire Valley. The wine undergoes traditional “sur lie” ageing, remaining on its fine lees after fermentation. This process enhances mouthfeel, adding subtle creaminess and complexity while preserving the wine’s hallmark freshness and tension.

What sets this cuvée apart is its origin: vineyards rooted in gabbro soils, a volcanic rock that contributes to the wine’s distinctive structure and minerality. Wines from gabbro terroirs tend to show a firmer backbone, with a slightly smoky, stony edge layered over the classic Muscadet profile.

On the palate, expect bright citrus, green apple and saline minerality. The palate is crisp with mouth-watering acidity, while the finish is clean, leaving you with lingering freshness.

Pair it with oysters, shellfish, and lean fish dishes. Or anything where its acidity and saline character enhance maritime flavours.
